The past two weekends I have been playing around in the kitchen coming up with ways to make trail food that is not only yummy but also semi nutritious and full of good ole calories. I have come up with a nice list for dinners and so I started with the easiest meals.
The first one I started out with was what I like to call Fancy Fake Chicken Ramen. The fake chicken part comes from the chicken flavored substitute. The fancy part comes from removing the MSG packet adding in my own broth and dehydrated vegetables as well as some spices. To be very honest I was really surprised with the outcome and it turned out great. I have since then packed up about 8 or so of the meals.
The second meal is identical to the first one and I like to call it Fancy Beefy Ramen. Same ingredients as above only substituting the chicken with real dehydrated beef. The third and fourth meals you just replace the Ramen with rice add the vegetables and the meats.
I just wanted to share what I have been doing. There is much more to come so you all better be hungry.
