The Hipcamp Mission:

Hipcamp helps you discover awesome places to camp.

Our mission is simple: to get more people outside. Our website makes it easy to discover great camping based on location, activities, and amenities. We aggregate the most useful data, user-generated photos, and reviews to make it easier to go camping.

The Hipcamp Story:

Hipcamp was born out of frustration for the existing system, which is very fragmented (one place for photos, one for reviews, one for state info, and another to book). We knew there had to be a better way.

Alyssa simply wanted to watch her first sunrise for the new year from a campsite by the ocean. Her search was a painful, time-consuming, process. Eventually she chose a site, but upon arrival she discovered that it was also home to a beautiful surf spot (which was never mentioned on her search). Since she was a surfer, she felt very frustrated and just sat to watch the waves roll by. She knew there had to be a better way…
