Hello 2016!

I hope you have put some miles on your boots already in the new year. If you have not then you need to get outside and get on those trails! With 2016 only a few days old it is time to start working on those resolutions. If yours is like mine it is to spend more time hiking. I wanted to get myself out on the trails more than I did in 2015. In doing so I created the 365 in 365 challenge and the new system to help everyone track their miles.

What is the 365 in 365 Challenge?

The 365 in 365 challenge was created to help get more people outside and enjoying the trails.

The challenge is to hike 365 miles in 2016! You can of course hike more than 365, but the minimum is 365. That breaks down to one mile hiked each day!

You can hike 30 miles in a week or 1 mile per day. How you get to 365 is up to you. Are you up for the challenge?

How it works: Our new system allows you to create an account and track your mileage over the next year. How many miles will you hike in 2016? Track your miles and see how you rank in our leaderboard! Also make sure to use the hashtag #HTT365  to share your hiking photos!



Adam Nutting relishes being an avid backpacker, hiker, and all-around adventure junkie. While he currently spends his time hiking in the backcountry of southern Arizona, he grew up in Missouri, where he was naturally inclined to spend as much time as he could outdoors. Adam’s passion for the outdoors grew as he climbed the ranks of the Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts, eventually attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
