Packing let alone choosing the right gear for any season can be tricky if the weather is always changing. The main goal is always the same. Pack items that will keep you warm and dry, are light weight, and take up the least amount of room as possible. I always lay all of my options out and begin to narrow things down by most needed in one pile and the maybe items in a second pile. Often I will literally weigh my options to see what goes or stays.
